Residents of Panggang Island Receive Drinking Water Assistance

Residents living in Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district, Seribu Islands, enthusiastically welcomed the ready-to-drink water assistance.

This assistance is realized through a collaboration between the Seribu Islands Regency administration and The Antheia Project.

The assistance received appreciation from one of the residents from RT 06/02, Panggang Island Urban Village, Aini Mudrika (27).

Seribu Islands Project to Provide Access to Clean Water

"Thank you, I am very happy to receive this bottled drinking water assistance. Moreover, we will also receive the refillable water assistance later," she expressed, Thursday (6/12).

Seribu Islands Economy and Development Section Head, Endro M Wibowo said, the drinking water assistance provided amounted to 2,137 gallons, referring to the number of households in Panggang Island Urban Village.

"This collaboration is an effort by the government and the private sector to meet the clean water needs in the Thousand Islands," he explained.

He urged the community to use the water wisely. Then, the gallon containers should be maintained as there will be assistance for refills in the future.

"We have also scheduled the distribution of these drinking water gallons for other islands. All residents are assured to receive this assistance," he added.

Public Relations The Antheia, Nur Azizah explained, this assistance is a corporate social program with a commitment to continue contributing to the community.

He hoped it would be the first step towards a sustainable collaboration between the government, the community, and the private sector.

"This assistance becomes a tangible symbol of synergy between the private sector and local government, as well as addressing the basic needs of the community in the island regions that have long faced challenges in the availability of drinking water," he stated.
